Work on Mopac GP18 1976
Wow! Where has the time gone? I haven't updated for over 6 months. I have had some modeling block, but I feel I can get back on track again. Current project is the shell for Mopac GP18 1976 - the Bicentennial unit. Doug Brush provided several pictures to me of the unit on the Northern Kansas line and I feel obligated to include a model of the engine.
I attached an Atlas SD24 cab. I had to modify the P2K long hood by chopping down the tab that guides the cab into the long hood. It's sitting on a sacrificial walkway and P2K frame. The actual 1976 had AAR trucks, a larger fuel tank, and several other differences.
